Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of paper do the planners use?
Sparkle Pop planner interiors use 60 pound uncoated white paper. This is comparable to the heavy paper inside a trade paperback, significantly thicker than standard copy paper but not as heavy as some premium planners. Most pens will look great, but Sharpies and other heavy inks will bleed through so just be mindful!
The covers are cover stock with a matte finish.
Can I customize my order?
Sparkle Pop is not offering customization/personalization this year. I may be able to offer additional school system dates on a limited basis, which I will announce on social media if possible.
How long will my order take?
Every order is printed on demand by Lulu. Historically, most orders arrive within two weeks.
Do you ship outside the US?
Currently I only ship in the United States. I'm working on setting up shipping to other areas but for now there is no international shipping.
Why don't you offer lamination or other binding options anymore?
Working with a print on demand company means balancing the streamlined process with their available options. Lulu doesn't offer laminated covers or unbound documents.
Why do you do print on demand instead of way you used to do them?
I totally feel you! One of the things that made Sparkle Pop special in the early years was just how customizable everything was. Because each planner was made individually, I could offer lots of options without ordering large quantities.
Over the years, though, printing costs have increased dramatically. The process I used for many years simply isn't financially sustainable anymore unless I were to charge much higher prices or invest in commercial printing equipment.
Just for transparency - a weekly planner that sold for $35.00 in 2020 now costs $42.00 to print with the company I used to use for printing. That same document would cost nearly $65 to print with a local printer like Office Max or Staples.
After a lot of thought, I chose to move to print-on-demand because it lets me continue creating beautiful, high-quality planners at a price I feel good about. It lets me offer a variety of covers to appeal to different tastes. It also allows me to spend time on my other passions—writing books and serving my local nonprofit—while still giving Sparkle Pop the care and attention it deserves.
While the production process has changed, my philosophy hasn't. I still design every planner myself, carefully choose the artwork, colors, and fonts, and continue to listen to customer feedback each year to make the planners even better.
My planner is messed up! What can I do about it?
Please reach out to me at jessica@sparklepoppaper.com so I can help make it right for you.
I changed my mind. Can I just return this?
Because every Sparkle Pop planner is printed just for you when you place your order, I can't accept returns or exchanges for items ordered by mistake or if you simply change your mind.
However, I absolutely want you to receive a planner you're excited to use! If your planner arrives damaged, misprinted, or you receive the wrong item, please contact me within 14 days of delivery with a few photos of the issue. I'll work with you to make it right as quickly as possible.
If you have questions about a planner before ordering, don't hesitate to reach out. I'd much rather help you choose the right planner upfront than have you end up with something that isn't what you expected!
